Gina says: I was very unhappy with how this clinic mislead me into believing that my visits would be covered by my insurance company, Medical Mutual of Ohio. During my first visit they took my insurance info and said they would submit claims to MMOH.. After 6 visits I had not heard from them. I addressed this with the office staff and the chiropractor himself who assured me they would resubmit the insurance info. I continued to follow up with the staff and Chiropractor who just kept telling me it takes several weeks before you will hear something. I told them with today's electronic processing systems, it should only take 3 days. After 16 visits I still had not heard from MMOH, so I called them to follow up and was told Sopchak is not in network with Medical Mutual of Ohio. Therefore, none of the 16 visits would be covered. At this point I was furious. When I confronted the office staff, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently, the Chiropractor was made aware of my dissatisfaction and told me I must have misunderstood him when he told me during visit 1 that they are a cash practice. I told him that at no point were those words communicated with me and if they were I would not have continued my visits with him. Furthermore, they do not have any signs posted that they are a cash practice and if they truly are a cash practice then they should never ask a patient for their insurance info. Completely misleading! Do not let them take advantage of you!
