The purpose of chiropractic in our office is to help an individual restore balance or harmony within the systems and then to let the natural healing ability of the body do whatever it is going to do to return to a state of harmony where, perhaps, the symptoms disappear. We are compassionate, therefore, we are aware of the symptoms of each individual, however, it is important to remember that as dramatic as the symptoms may be “in the moment”, symptoms are very subjective and are really only “road signs” to let you know that you are in a state of acute dis-ease or imbalance. As you are well aware with pain, each of us has a different tolerance level or threshold. What is painful to one person may be only a slight irritant to another; so too, with all other symptoms.
The chiropractor, therefore, will search for more objective signs in the body as part of the detection and location of the vertebral subluxation. You can be symptom free and still be in need of a specific chiropractic adjustment. On the other hand, you could feel terrible and not need an adjustment. This is why it is necessary to have your chiropractor check your spine for vertebral subluxations. A chiropractor is the only person trained and licensed to perform the life enhancing chiropractic adjustment of a vertebral subluxation.
