Dr. Roger Verno has been at this location for over 30 years. Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Verno began his pre chiropractic education at Hofstra University and he continued Chiropractic school at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he graduated cum laude in 1983. Certified as a chiropractic sports physician, Dr. Verno was the chiropractic team physician for the Ely H.S. boys and girls basketball teams and boys J.V. and varsity football teams. He has also donated his time at numerous beach volleyball tournaments, triathlons, The Florida State Games and multiple bike races over his 30 year chiropractic career. Dr. Verno is also former mma fighter, Kimbo Slice’s chiropractic sports physician. Dr. Verno feels that physical fitness is an important part of health and he has also sponsored many peewee football teams, several football players and cheer-leading teams. His expertise with athletes and their injuries has also helped helped with his care of auto accident injuries. When you choose to become a patient, Dr. Verno will speak to you at length regarding your past injuries, when your condition first began and whether it has gotten worse over time.
He will take the time to listen you and get an understanding of the problem in detail. This helps us make a accurate diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan that’s right for you. Dr. Verno strives to minimize treatment, decreasing frequency of treatment as the patient improves. Dr. Verno will also review your activities and lifestyle and give you advice on how to improve your health and manage any long term or recurrent problems and avoid future recurrences. Dr Verno treats many different conditions, not just headaches, back or neck pain.
Besides being certified as a chiropractic sports physician, Dr, Verno is also a certified laser technician and a diplomat in The American Academy of Pain Management. He is a member of The Florida Chiropractic Association, The Academy of American Anti-Aging Medicine and the fca Council on Sports Injuries, Physical Fitness and Rehabilitation. .Several years ago, Dr. Verno expanded his practice to include other anti-aging services such as, laser skin resurfacing, hair removal and age spot removal, detoxification, weight loss, smoke cessation and non-surgical facelifts using microcurrent. Certified in 2007, Dr. Verno has also performed many chiropractic manipulations under anesthesia on chronic pain patients with excellent results. Other modalities that Dr. Verno offers are cold laser treatment, interferential current, ultrasound, massage therapy, physical rehabitation and computerized spinal decompression.
