Dr. Ben

Chiropractic Addresses All Three Types Of People

First, chiropractic is the art, science and philosophy of adjusting the vertebrae of the spinal column in order to restore and maintain normal nerve flow, which in turn, assists the body with normal health and healing.
Secondly, the origin of many common joint conditions often lies in the habitual use of your muscle groups within a small and abnormally restricted range of motion, leading to abnormal stress patterns and chronic changes. Imbalanced muscles and fascia (connective tissue) lead to poor posture and lower energy potentials. Muscles which are chronically contracted and abnormally stretched are weaker and more susceptible to injury than their healthy counterparts. It is these imbalanced muscles which influence your vertebrae to move out of alignment. Research has shown that manipulative pressure and stretching are the most effective ways of modifying energy potentials of abnormal muscle and fascia.

The chiropractic care employed by Dr. Griffes is the Diversified Technique, along with the non-force use of wedges and manual traction to adjust the vertebrae. He also supplements the chiropractic care with deep-tissue bodywork, movement education, and exercise prescription.
